Updated Skincare Routine

**CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE

So, my face (where I am looking down), was real dry and I had bad acne around my chin, mouth, and nose.  Before as my face wash, I used the yellow soap that I talked about in my first post and used Cetaphil lotion.  I also was using the Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation, which is a great foundation.  It was great at first, but then my face started to get real dry and I was constantly breaking out, so I wanted to try something new. I was using a lot of lush products that I bought, which helped a lot.  I really recommend the ones that I bought and talked about in my post before this because they are the best and really do work.  But, I stopped using some of them because for me it was time consuming, yet, I stuck with the Grease Lightning and Tea Tree Water toner.  Now (where I am looking at the camera), I have been using the Aveeno skin brightening daily scrub cleanser and it has been working so so so amazing for me.  I love this so much, and you can buy this at any drugstore. The yellow soap and the Aveeno cleanser both work the same for me and really help with my acne.  I started using the Aveeno skin relief moisturizing lotion for my face and skin because during the Winter, I get eczema, especially on my face.  Aveeno always does the trick to getting it back to soft and healthy skin and this has always been my go to lotion.  Seriously is the best guys!!! The Tea Tree Toner, stated by Lush "keeps the skin clear of blemishes and balances skin tone.  "It also reduces redness and clears excess oil without drying so you can put your best face forward."  I feel that it is very accurate because it has been balancing my skin and keeping blemishes away.  The Grease Lightning is my favorite! It is a "super effective spot-cleansing gel to get things back to normal."  This is very accurate as well for me, because I always place this on the areas of my acne or where I feel an acne is coming and it seriously gets things going back to normal for me.  If I had to pick out of all the Lush products I got, I would definitely recommend the Grease Lightning if you have acne-prone skin like me.  Lastly, whenever I break out I always go to this foundation, which is Neutrogena SkinClearing oil-free makeup foundation in the color Natural Beige #60, which also is a blemish treatment with Salicylic acid, which is good for acne.  So basically this foundation is for acne-prone skin, and it honestly always helps my blemishes as I go through a bad phase of acne.  I definitely recommend this foundation because it leaves my skin looking clean and healthy, that people always ask about what foundation I've been using.

Face for morning and night:
  • Use Aveeno cleanser
  • *Optional: apply mask of magnaminty or cosmetic warrior
  • Apply Aveeno Lotion
  • Spray Tea Tree Water toner onto skin or on a cotton pad and apply on face
  • Wait till face is dry and then apply Grease Lightning on acne spots

**Remember, everyone's face is different and this may not work for everyone, but it takes a couple of days or weeks to see a difference.  Be patient and if you have any questions about anything let me know!

                        Sincerely,
                             Claudia

LUSH!!!!!

So I recently bought myself some lush products for my face yesterday because my face really needed it! I heard great stuff about these and I cannot wait to try it!! So far I have used mask of magnaminty, grease lightning, and tea tree water! I can feel a difference in my face and my face seems to be less oily. I will let you know how these all work out in two weeks or so. Everything total was $75.  At first, I thought it was expensive, but then realized it's a pretty good deal because the glam glow mud face is about $69, when you can get five things for almost the same price as one.  If you have anymore lush products that you love and would recommend, share with me please!!! :) - Sincerely Claudia

BIRTHDAY GIRL!!

Yesterday was my birthday and as a present I got this from Sephora.  They are Satin lip pencils from Nars, which you can get at Sephora. The red lipstick called Cruella is what I wore on my birthday and the rose pink called Rikugien is what I wore today.  On the box it says that they are velvet matte lip pencils, which truly, they are velvet and matte.  They are gorgeous colors! If you want to be bold, wear the red, but if you're not in the mood for something bold, go with the rose pink.  -Sincerely Claudia

My favorite and MUST HAVE drugstore nude/brown lipsticks

Mink by Revlon- brown with a bit of orange. The color is perfect for any season and it's a gorgeous color on the lips. It's not to brown, but not too nude.

Truffle Tease by Maybelline- PERFECT NUDE COLOR. It's not to pale that it makes you look like a zombie. This is always my go to lipstick.
Sin-a-mon by Maybelline- Looks a bit like Truffle Tease, but once you put it on your lips, you can tell it's a bit darker.
Touchable Taupe by Maybelline- Darker brown. It looks like it has a bit of a plum color in it, but it doesn't. I LOVE THIS COLOR. I have been trying to find a brown lipstick and once I tried this I fell in love.

These are all my favorite and MUST HAVE drugstore nude/brown lipsticks. They look better in person than in pictures because the lighting throws it off. They're each about  $4-$5 plus tax, which I think is affordable than high end lipsticks. Since I'm in college and I don't want to spend to much money, I always go to drugstore lipsticks. What I love about these specific lipsticks is that it doesn't leave your lips feeling dry and that it is creamy and matte. If you had to pick just ONE, I would go with Truffle Tease. It's the perfect color for any season, plus it's not dark, but not too nude. GET YOUR HANDS ON THESE! -Sincerely Claudia

Acne remedies

  • Turmeric & Ginger Herbal Cleansing Soap
  • Glam Glow
  • Neosporin

First, this yellow soap is the best! This is the only thing that I use to wash my face and has been ever since my mom introduced this to me. When I'm breaking out, it usually helps heals it in a week or so. But, everyone's face is different. Where I get this is in Milwaukee at a market called Phongsavan for $5.  Next, the glamglow super mud, which you can get at Sephora for $69- size 1.2 oz, which is pricey, but definitely worth it. The picture above of the glamglow is a sample size and i'm not sure how much that cost. What it does is it sucks up the dirt from your face, getting into those pores of yours. After trying it, it truly does that and your face feels so clean and pore free.  Neosporin ointment helps with acne scars. I personally have not tried it yet, but my sister Julie, which you can find her on youtube, has told me this works and is something I am still trying out. If you have any questions, let me know.
